What are the Costs of Rubbish Removal?

One of the major costs associated with rubbish removal is the labour of the people who actually do the work. Generally, the more rubbish a company removes, the more expensive it becomes because each lot of rubbish or waste added costs money. You should not expect rubbish removal costs to be the same across both residential and commercial sites. First of all you need to think about how big the job is, how much waste is to be removed and what sort of rubbish there is. If you only need a small amount of rubbish removed quickly then it doesn't make a great deal of difference what sort of company you choose, but if you need a lot of rubbish that is heavy or bulky, perhaps even hazardous materials, you need to research into a company that is qualified and insured to do the job for you.

Once you have made all of your assumptions about how much work will go into your removal project then you can start to look at what companies offer. In the first few years, before there was much competition in the waste removal services sector, there was very little regulation. Some companies charged very high rates for their services and even more for their collection and labour, and the cost of just hiring a skip built was extremely high. The days of the local council worker removing your rubbish for you may be over but you should still consider a company who works on a contract basis with a low initial cost. The trick is to find a smaller local company, that has the correct insurance, but is able to offer lower rates than the larger firms.

A key factor in choosing rubbish removal companies who work on a low fixed rate basis is to see how long it will take them to complete the job. Generally, the longer the clean up job takes, the more expensive it will be. You have to appreciate that you are paying for the time of the company employees. You should always try to choose a company who has been doing business for some time and knows the waste regulations inside out. Thus avoiding any penalties or extra charges when you rubbish is finally disposed of, or recycled.
